Financed photovoltaic solar panels to support hunger relief

Greater Boston Food Bank, Boston, Massachusetts

“Every dollar we save means we can feed more people. It’s that simple,” says Catherine D’Amato, president and CEO of The Greater Boston Food Bank. “Every dollar we save means we can feed more people. It’s that simple.”  As New England’s largest hunger relief organization, The Food Bank helps people in the area to be productive members of their communities by ensuring that they are well fed. BCC provided the flexible financing that they needed that would enhance the vision of The Food Bank. In 2010, BCC financed the installation of solar panels on the roof of the Food Bank, allowing the organization to get green energy for a low, fixed rate and to spend the savings doing what they do best— preventing hunger in our own Greater Boston community.
